Well I am now just starting my third week of LighterLife and I am impressed. I really thought I would struggle to get used to it but I'm doing really well. The only thing I'm struggling with is not having any milk.
The weight is dropping off me. In my starting week I weighed 142.2kg / 22st 5lb, first weigh in 138.2kg / 21st 10lb, second weigh in 137.3kg / 21st 8lb. Which means I have lost a whopping 4.9kg / 11lb in just 2 weeks. I have also reduced my BMI from 54.27 to 52.40 .
I am hoping to be down to 130kg / 20st 4lb by my 25th birthday in May which gives me 9 weeks to lose 7.3kg / 16lb. If I manage to do it I will treat myself to a new outfit.
Talking about new outfits I picked up two new tops in Evans at the weekend and I love them both. I also got some new jeans and surprise surprise I've gone from getting jeans in a size 28 to a size 26 :)

Health Update
I saw my consultant endocrinologist on Wednesday and got some crappy news.
My vitamin D levels have not improve sufficiently with the medication I was prescribed at my last appointment so they have increased the dosage to two tablets three times a week. When I took the prescription to the hospital pharmacy they had to ring the consultant to double check the dosage as they said it is an extremely high dose. If this lot of tablets does not work then I will have to have to start having injections :(
Also my thyroid levels have changed for the worse yet again. So my tablets have been increased to 175mcg one day and 200mcg the next. The consultant did think about just giving me 200mcg daily but he was concerned that it would make my levels go to far the other way making me hyper so Ive got to see how this goes til I see him again.
That's all for now

LighterLife Day1
Well that's my first day of lighterlife done.
The packs weren't as bad as I thought they'd be and I've managed to not put milk in my tea all day. Just gave to remember when I make a cuppa to make it slightly weaker than I normally would. I have found I have am quite fond of mint tea.
So today's menu was porridge for breakfast, banana shake for lunch, pasta carbonara for tea and pea n ham soup for supper.
Have to say I wasn't overly keen on the porridge so tomorrow I'm going to try the apple n cinnamon flavour and hopefully I will like it more.
Well it's time for one born every minute so I'm offski.

LighterLife
Oops meant to post this last night
I have my first LighterLife class tomorrow. Honestly I am quite excited about it.
At the initial consultation evening the other week I was told I would have to see my GP for a health screen form to be filled in due to some of the medication I am taking and I will then have to have monthly blood pressure checks to ensure all is ok.
Well I saw my GP before work this morning and he filled in the form for me. Due to being on some antidiruetics he gave me a blood form to have my electrolytes checked and another form to get them done again in 3-4 weeks time to see if the diet has had any effect. My GP said that if it does affect my electrolytes then I will have to come off the meds. In the mean time I am to start the diet and see him again for the bloods results in a months time. If I start to feel ill then I am to stop the diet and go see him for a check up.
I have made the decision that I am going to do the diet to lose around 4-5stone and hopefully this will increase my confidence enough to take the plunge and join some kind of exercise class.

Sorry Ive neglected my blog for the last couple of weeks, I have a few things on my mind.
Last week I went to a lighterlife meeting to find out what its all about and I was really shocked to find their scales weighed me in at 142k. The other thing that shocked me was the cost. It would cost me £72 a week to lose weight with lighterlife as well as still having to buy food in for the husband. Thankfully I have a supportive family and they are going to help towards the cost so that I can lose some serious weight.
On the plus side I weighed myself on my scales last night and they showed 140.5. It isn't great as I've still got a few kilos to lose to get over the gain but its a step in the right direction.
I've decided this week that the best way for me to gradually increase my exercise is to start slowly and comfortably in my own home. So I am going to start by going on the Wii for 10 minutes as soon as I get in from work and gradually build it up to 30 minutes over a few weeks. And use the weekends to go out for walks with James.
Talking of walks we walked around Newmillerdam the other Sunday. Yes I took the shorter route of 1.2k rather than the 1.6 and I did stop a few times to rest my back but I did it without too much whingeing. I took a coulple of pics and a really nice one of me and James. I usually hate having my photo taken but I really do like the pic of Jimmy and me.
